Medicine 3.0

Web 2.0 is a nebulous word associated with user-interactive and user-generated web content. It has no technical specifications. While people have already begun to talk about web 3.0, medicine is still to enter the 2.0 era. We have not exploited the fullest potentials of a powerful, interactive and crowd-sourced web, with respect to the practice of medicine. I will be writing about how health informatics, patient data management and analysis, genomic informatics and peer-to-peer sharing of information can help develop a better system of medicine.
